What started with one rainy night and an unexpectedly long first date became years of shared cities, late dinners, family traditions, and the kind of love that made ordinary life feel anything but ordinary.
Sasha almost cancelled. Teddy was running ten minutes late, it was raining, and the tiny cocktail bar Teddy picked had exactly two open seats left. We stayed until closing anyway. What was supposed to be one drink became four hours of stories, bad jokes, and the strange feeling that we had somehow skipped the awkward part of meeting someone new.
Two years later, Teddy brought me back to that same bar on an otherwise ordinary Thursday night. Our old corner table was waiting, along with the same drink Sasha ordered on our first date. Afterward, he led me to the courtyard next door, where candles were burning beneath the balconies. He barely finished asking before I said yes.
